Top 5 Maps and Navigation Apps on Android in Qatar Q1 2023

In the first quarter of 2023, the Maps and Navigation category on the Android platform in Qatar saw interesting trends among the top 5 applications. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here’s a breakdown of their performance.

Uber - Request a ride experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, beginning the quarter with approximately 11K downloads and ending with around 5K. The app maintained a steady number of weekly active users, hovering around 57K throughout the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic showed consistent weekly downloads, ranging from approximately 3.6K to 4.7K. The app also saw stable weekly active user numbers, averaging around 73K users.

Karwa Journey Planner saw a significant drop in weekly downloads, starting at around 6.5K and decreasing to just over 1K by the end of March. Active users also decreased from about 52K to 43K over the same period.

Careem – rides, food & more had varying weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 2.9K in mid-February before falling to around 400 by the end of March. The app's active user base saw a decline from about 28K to 21K during the quarter.

Lastly, Karwa - Official had a gradual increase in downloads, starting at about 600 and peaking at over 1K in mid-March, before dropping slightly. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 2.5K to 3K.
